Wonders of all wonders! I met a guy in Uttarakhand who had his Janeyu ceremony. As part of this ceremony, he had his head shaved (except for a small lock left at the back) and his ears pierced. Say what!!
Loved to know about this unusual ceremony. I fully endorse it and feel you should also get his Janeyu ceremony too along with tonsuring his head. It will be Ok for the army to have a shaven head along with thread on his chest.
